Scope of Position
Works in conjunction with supply chain team, product line manager and plant planners to plan and execute to a high level of customer service and cash flow performance. Leads S&OP meetings to understand and identify any issues with supply based on current demand forecast. Supports the development of Value Stream Maps for assigned product lines. Works in conjunction with the plant to implement inventory management strategies and track performance. Drives consistency and sharing of best practices related to supply planning.
Day to Day
Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing S&OP process, long term capacity planning, and communicating customer demand.
Match supply and demand to ensure appropriate capacity levels at work centers.
Support Americas Partnership Meeting (S&OP).
Insures effective communication with Global counterparts to realize global flexibility.
Coordinate activities with plant and global resources to maximize speed and flexibility.
Develop inventory strategies that balance agility with highest cost benefit to Corning.
Support Demand Management meetings as required for products.
Support development and execution of Agility plans
Represent manufacturing in forecast consensus meeting to balance statistical forecast with commercial inputs.
Work with forecasting team to provide best possible MPS/MRP plans to plant through SAP ERP.
Assure effective implementation of planning strategies to optimize inventory and customer service metrics.
Evaluate inventory stocking plans relative to actual inventory/service levels and work with tactical planner/buyers to adjust inventory stocking plans as needed.
Support monthly RRABC item reviews ensuring optimal MPS settings and inventory targets aligned to the project framework.
Execute value stream map for key product lines from supplier to customer and drive resulting actions.
Support cost saving initiatives.
Participates in product team meetings as required.
Advise product team on critical considerations related to product life-cycle.
Assist in the development of supply chain strategy and roadmap.
Travel Requirements
10% domestic and international
Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time: 40hrs/week - 1st shift
Qualifications
Required Education (minimum required for consideration):
Bachelor's Degree (Supply Chain major preferred)
