Receptionist/Scheduler for Christian Counseling Office

The Receptionist will ensure that the policies and procedures are being followed and primarily focus on medical billing verification and appeals for mental health services.
The Receptionist will help the flow of the office creating a smooth transition between the clients and the counselors.
The Receptionist will be involved in the scheduling and assisting the clinician as needed.
The Receptionist will present themselves in a professional, kind and courteous manner treating clients and staff with respect.
Part-time W2 position available.
The scope of this role includes, but is not limited to the following:
Insurance verification Medical billing to insurance companies using our EHR (electronic health record) Maintain HIPAA-compliance of PHI and protocols Answer the phone in a caring manner and treat each client with respect and heartfelt concern.
Determine and address needs of clients in lobby (coffee, tea, magazines, etc) Schedule clients in a timely manner Conduct reminder calls daily in the morning Enforce policies regarding no shows, cancellations and client balances Complete inquiries and determine most appropriate clinician available for their needs Screen for clinical appropriateness Collect copays or coinsurance of each client before session begins Check deductibles and EOBs Manage cancellations by communicating to clinicians and rescheduling promptly Set up financial agreements with clients, along with support of clinician Check voicemail regularly throughout day Assist clinicians with their schedules Assist clinicians in closing cases with phone calls/letters Case load reports Quality Control Monthly Patient Statements/Collaborate w CFO Schedule Staff meetings Productivity Reports Maintain a clean and organized environment Qualifications Minimum of high school diploma Experience in an office setting and especially in office management is preferred About Us Redefine is a group of Holy Spirit-led Christian licensed psychotherapists who provide counseling and consulting services for individuals, couples, children, adolescents and families.
